Due to the global financial crisis, leather (garment leather, nappa leather, full grain leather, embossed leather) dealers from Europe, Russia, Turkey and so on has resorted to the stable Chinese leather market for a way out. Statistics from all kinds of Leather Exhibitions held in China show that overseas exhibitors have grown substantially. And some foreign companies launched products with new cutting-edge technologies first in China.
Delegations of leather dealers from countries such as Colombia, India, Netherlands, Eritre and Italy have participated in the relevant fairs. They booked more booths than ever, in a bid to expand their businesses in China. In the past, Europe and Russia are Turkey's key leather markets. Due to the recession in these markets, Turkish leather dealers have clearly changed direction, started to work on the Chinese market. They booked more exhibition space than last year, with an increase of 15%" , relevant statistics show.
The financial crisis has great impact on the markets of Europe and the United States and so on. China is one of the few markets that maintained sustainable growth in the world. It is imaginable that overseas leather dealers expand their businesses in China, instead of the old markets.
